Subject Description

The study of language and literature are key elements of this course.
Poetry, short stories, novel, drama and film will be studied and analysed in depth. Students continue to build on writing skills developed at Level 1. Critical thinking skills and the close reading of unfamiliar texts with an emphasis on techniques relating to reader/writer purpose are also developed.
Year 12, Level 2 English at Baradene College is compulsory. All Year 11 students will be entered into Level 2 English Course or English as a Second Language Course.
