Year 11 Health Education

Students will study key Health Education concepts, of Hauora, Attitudes and Values, Socio-ecological perspective, and Health Promotion through the potential topics of Relationships and Sexuality, Mental Health and Food and Nutrition. 

Mental Health includes how to manage stressful situations, and positive decision making especially around the use of drugs and alcohol. 

Relationships and Sexuality could include inclusiveness of sexuality and gender identities, and promotion of healthy relationships. 

This course is theory based and will draw on topics that are relevant to the year and what is happening in NZ and around the world at the time.
