Subject Description

Year 11 Mathematics is compulsory at Baradene College.
- All Year 10 students will be entered into Year 11 Mathematics.
- Those students who require extra support with numeracy will be placed in Year 11 Applied Mathematics.
- Those students who have completed Year 11 Mathematics in Year 10 2024 will be placed in Level 2 Calculus.
Year 11 Mathematics
This is a general Mathematics course that that studies a wide range of topics including:
- Algebra (fundamentals)
- Right-angle triangles
- Statistics (Bivariate and Multivariate data)
- Probability
- Numeric Reasoning
- Financial Literacy
This course will prepare students to move into Level 2 Mathematics Towards Calculus (providing prerequisite grades are met) and/or Level 2 Mathematics Towards Statistics.
