Subject Description

The Year 12 and Year 13 Classical Studies Scholarship  programme extends students by adding depth and breath to the students knowledge. Extra tuition and workshops will prepare the students for the critical and analytical nature of the end-of-year examination.  Candidates should have a good knowledge regarding culture and identity with a specific focus on 'gender and society', the Iliad, Roman Art and architecture.

They must be able to respond critically to unfamiliar sources of evidence and use skills of interpretation, analysis and evaluation and historiography.

Students will be invited to enter this course in Term 1.
