Year 11 Economics

The aim of Economics is to develop an understanding of how people meet their needs by allocating resources in society. 

The course looks at how, as a result of scarcity, consumers, producers, and the government make choices that affect New Zealand society and how the different sectors of the New Zealand economy are interdependent. 

Topics covered include a selection from the following:

• History of Economics.
• Demand.
• Supply.
• Market equilibrium.
• Circular flow.
• Trade.
• The Government.
